Easter 2024 logo           Newcastle on the podium at Easter

A contingent of Newcastle club members travelled to South Australia to   compete in this year's Easter 3 Days Carnival, held in the Adelaide Hills   and Murraylands, which attracted around 700 orienteers. Six Newcastle   orienteers finished on the podium for their age class in the overall 3 Day results. Solid results across the board saw Newcastle finish third out of 42 clubs in the Club Trophy pointscore, behind Tasmania's Australopers in first and ACT's Red Roos in second.

Placegetters in the A classes were Martina Craig (W50A) & Scott Simson (M50A), both in second. Mikayla Enderby took second in NOL W20Sport. In the A Short classes Maria Orr topped W65AS, Shane Jenkins (M45AS) was second and Naomi Scouller finished third in W35AS.
