Jesmond Park Bush Event

The first bush orienteering event for the season will be held at Jesmond Park this Sunday 28th March.

Very Easy, Easy, Moderate, Short Hard and Medium Hard courses will be available.
An all controls map will also be available for those wanting to practice for transition to a hard level this year and for those wanting to try a variety of controls of differently levels.

All courses have a mixture of bush controls and park controls.

If you are new to orienteering or new to bush orienteering please talk to one of the officials at the event who will be able to provide you with advice on the course you should try and some guidance and instruction on orienteering in the bush.

Details and entry are available via Eventor - Jesmond Park

Assembly will be adjacent to the intersection of Robinson Ave and the Jesmond Cycle Path.

The best parking is along Robinson Ave or in the car park off Robinson Ave.

Starts are from 9:30am.

Course Closure is 1pm.

For those undertaking the moderate and hard courses full body cover is recommended.

All courses head first into the bush to the south of the Jesmond Cycle Path and finish in the park on to the north of the Jesmond Cycle Path.

A score/progressive course is available for people looking to transition to a harder level course this year. If you would like to try this talk to the course controller or one of the officials who will be able to recommend controls to visit and give you some coaching.
